Maloriak Heroic

Well it took another fortnight or so since our first Chimeron kill but Maligned has killed yet another heroic encounter in Blackwing Descent, yet another server first and it was quite a satisfying one.

Aside from the usual increases in health and damage done that you typically get with heroic encounters, this time around we have Nefarian meddling in the mechanics of the fight. The normal fight consists of red, blue and green phases. The heroic version adds a dark phase which involves killing adds and dodging pools against a moderate timer. Twice. We were expecting more from the final phase but our many hours spent on Mimiron have taught us that big blue frost things are something to be avoided.

In addition to loot of course, we got ourselves a fairly unique thirty minute debuff, so felt obliged to stand around in Orgrimmar hoping someone would ask how we got it (they do too /giggle)

Many thanks to every one of course, the healers who prevented us from dropping dead which I was sure was going to happen in the final phase and of course to the melee players who sat so we could heavily stack our ranged players.

We are not sure where we will spend the rest of our time this week but we have a few encounters still available to us and two nights to do it, I am thinking Disneyland.
